CSEI has released a new policy brief “Pivotal Questions for the Market Design of a Hydrogen Market” by Johannes Giehl (CSEI) and Maike Kalz (TU Berlin). The brief tackles the question of a suitable market design when implementing a hydrogen market. It raises seven questions to be answered concerning the potential final market considering different scenarios for the upscaling of the hydrogen economy.
Last week, CSEI went on the journey to Lyngby to participate in the first meeting of the PtX Markets project. Together with DTU Wind and Energy Systems, DTU Compute, Biogas Denmark, Evida, ENFOR A/S, Energidanmark, and Hybrid Greentech, CSEI will work on assessing the market potential for hydrogen and green fuels and their implications for the European electricity market. Over the last two days we were guests at our partner, the port of Rønne, to have our kickoff for the Nord_H2ub Project. Thank you very much Maja Bendtsen and her colleagues for hosting us while we discussed the challenges and role of ports in the energy transition.
As CSEI completes its fourth year, we publish a report outlining all the Centre’s accomplishments since its inception. The report is available in the conjunction with the final advisory board meeting of 2023.
The Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure recently participated in the “Nordic Hydrogen Valleys Conference” held on October 4 and 5, 2023, in Iceland. This conference, organized by Nordic Energy Research, was designed to investigate the implications of the energy transition on the development of hydrogen value chains and energy hubs in the Nordic region.
Since the end of 2021, the STEERS project* has assessed the current process and proposed changes in view of the TEN-E recast. Concluding a series of intermediate reports and events as well as our continuous bilateral exchange with the TYNDP stakeholders, we now present a final report and policy brief discussing the project outcomes and their real-world implications.
On September 8, 2023, we will hold the 2nd SustainED conference within ENERforsk under the title “Power to the Pipeline – Hydrogen Infrastructure & Regulation”.
